Privacy Policy
OpenOnPhone is designed to preview files locally in your browser. The file you choose stays on your device for local preview.
We do not upload the file content to our server for preview.
Local file preview
Most previews happen directly in your browser. OpenOnPhone reads the selected file on your device so you can inspect text, metadata, structure, or a limited visual preview.
Do not paste secrets, private file paths, or sensitive file contents into feedback messages.
Anonymous product data
We may collect anonymous product usage information to understand which formats need better support.
This can include the file extension, detected MIME type, size bucket, preview status, supported status, viewer type, failure reason, device category, browser category, operating system category, and basic server access logs.
These events are not intended to include your file content.
Feedback and contact messages
If you send feedback or contact us, we may store the message you submit and your email address if you provide one.
Feedback text is safety-scrubbed before storage. We use feedback to respond, debug reported issues, and understand format requests.
If you do not allow contact in the feedback form, OpenOnPhone removes the submitted email from the stored feedback record.
Service providers
OpenOnPhone may use hosting, analytics, and error monitoring providers to keep the service running.
These providers may process basic request and diagnostic data. The local preview flow is designed so these providers do not receive the content of files you select for preview.
Privacy requests
You can contact us at support@openonphone.app to ask privacy questions or request deletion of contact information you submitted.
